Jennifer Gunsaullus, PhD, is a Sociologist and the author of From Madness to Mindfulness: Reinventing Sex for Women.

Dr. Jenn has had a private practice as an intimacy and relationship coach for the past 15 years. She is an international speaker about couples’ desire, sexual consent, healthy relationships, body image, erotic play, effective communication, women’s empowerment, and mindful intimacy.

One of her main speaking audiences around the world is the Young President’s Organization (YPO), where she speaks to company CEOs/Presidents, couples, and partners/spouses, for chapter events, couples retreats, and Forum retreats. Dr. Jenn was also certified as a Certified Forum Facilitator (CFF) for YPO forums in the fall of 2023.

She has presented two TEDx Talks and has given hundreds of interviews on the morning news, radio shows, and podcasts.

Her In the Den with Dr. Jenn educational video series has 1.7 million hits on YouTube and she is an expert in the documentary on masturbation, called Sticky: A (Self) Love Story. Dr. Jenn is the co-host of the humorous and educational Sex Talk with Clint & the Doc podcast through I Heart Radio.

Dr. Jenn has been hired to write and host video projects with Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, the Global YPO Spouse/Partner Network, and Erika Lust films. And Dr. Jenn was the technical editor for Dr. Ruth’s 4th edition of her Sex for Dummies book.

She has been interviewed by publications including USA Today, The Washington Post, Cosmo, The Sunday Times (London), Madame Figaro (France), Oprah Daily, Men’s Health, Playboy, Marie Claire, New York Post, and Shape. Dr. Jenn is also an active philanthropist with Women Give San Diego, volunteers for Compassion It, the founder of World Sexual Health Day--San Diego, and formerly on the executive team for Sex Positive San Diego.

In her free time, she strums her ukulele, got a black belt in karate, loves exploring new cultures, and plays 2-person beach volleyball every weekend.

Jennifer "Dr. Jenn" Gunsaullus, Ph.D., is a sociologist who works as a sexuality and mindfulness speaker, and a relationship, intimacy, and sex coach. As a sociologist, she merges a blend of education, coaching, and awareness-raising in her work. Dr. Jenn got her start in the sex and relationship field 29 years ago as a sexual health peer educator at Lehigh University in her home state of Pennsylvania. She now merges her practical training in sexual health and academic training in sociology with her passion for holistic health and mind/body/spirit perspectives. She is the author of the book, From Madness to Mindfulness: Reinventing Sex for Women.

Dr. Jenn is a frequent lecturer on relationship and intimacy topics. From wine bars to yoga studies, college classrooms to senior centers, and the LGBT community center to Mensa gatherings and CEO Valentine's events, Dr. Jenn offers unique and powerful presentations on healthy communication and fulfilling intimacy. She has also been an adjunct professor for courses including Human Sexuality, Women & Health, and Social Psychology. Dr. Jenn has written for The Good Men Project and Pacific San Diego Magazine, and has been a Sex & Relationship Expert for a variety of San Diego morning news, including Wake Up San Diego, Fox 5 News, and San Diego Living. In 2010 she was named one of San Diego Magazine's "Women Who Move the City" and in 2014 was nominated for the YWCA's San Diego Humanitarian award. In addition, she is on the executive team for Sex Positive San Diego, the founder of World Sexual Health Day--San Diego, an active philanthropist and former Chair of the Communications Leadership Team for the nonprofit donor's circle Women Give San Diego, and volunteers for Compassion It, a nonprofit inspiring compassionate acts around the world. Past volunteer work includes being on the Board of Directors for Jeans 4 Justice, a nonprofit to end sexual violence, education and fundraising for the young women's empowerment organization Shakti Rising, and leading a caregiver support group for The San Diego Alzheimer's Association. Dr. Jenn mentors many students and young adults who are interested in careers in the sex field.

Dr. Jenn is one of the sex experts interviewed in the powerful documentary about the taboos around masturbation called Sticky: A (Self) Love Story, released in February 2016. In April 2015, her message and image (seen above in the banner photo) were chosen to be on a San Francisco billboard as part of the Inspiration Campaign movement. Dr. Jenn is also an active philanthropist with Women Give San Diego and the founder of World Sexual Health Day--San Diego and on the executive team for Sex Positive San Diego.

She has volunteered for many years with Eve Ensler's fundraising play The Vagina Monologues as an actor and director, and was named a "Vagina Warrior" at Cal State San Marcos in 2011.
