What is Sexual Confidence really?

You may think that sexual confidence means knowing everything, or being perfect. But sexual confidence is actually the opposite of that, because it means being open to messing up and trying new things. Sexual confidence means being open-minded, open to learning new things, and being able to roll with the punches. For example, if you're confident with certain skills and ways of pleasing a partner, what if you come across a partner who doesn’t get pleasure in the same way? Are you willing to learn and grow? Or if you’ve been with the same partner for years, are you willing to try new things and think outside the box?

This is hard for a lot of women and men, because we may feel incompetent, silly, embarrassed, and vulnerable.

I discussed this with Client August on San Diego Living recently, and shared some ideas of what to do and what not to do. Click on the photo below to watch the interview.
